Cross-flow membrane filtration is a physical separation of the feed liquid using a porous membrane material as the filtration medium, driven by pressure, and prevents the formation of a filter cake through shear force, which can separate yeast, bacteria, particles, or substances of different molecular weights from the feed liquid to obtain the desired product. The working principle is: using a circulating pump and a feed pump to make the feed liquid flow at high speed in the filtration system, generating high pressure, which can separate water and small molecules and components smaller than the selected pore size to the outside of the membrane, i.e., the filtrate. At the same time, a momentary filter cake layer will form on the inner side of the membrane tube and then be washed away by the high-speed flowing feed liquid.
